Dyrup under New Ownership
Dyrup will be acquired by US company PPG Industries, one of the world's leading manufacturers of architectural coatings.
Earlier today, it was announced that Dyrup will be acquired by US company PPG Industries, one of the world's leading manufacturers of architectural coatings. The takeover is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2011 depending on when regulatory approval is obtained and when the practical procedures can be completed.
Supported by strong brands and trademarks as well as being a good match on the product and sales sides throughout Europe, Dyrup and PPG will team up to form a very robust unit with shared access to more and larger markets and with the potential to achieve a number of economies of scale. Dyrup’s known brands in paint and wood care will continue to be available, but will have added power to grow under the new organization. That paves the way for further accelerating the positive developments our company has gone through in recent years.
